SharePoint Deployment Planning Services (SDPS)

Microsoft has a new program for customers who have selected software assurance as part of their licensing agreement. The program, called SharePoint Deployment Planning Services (SDPS), is designed to help organizations who are considering SharePoint for the first time, or evaluating new ways to utilize current SharePoint licenses. SDPS enables Microsoft customers to engage a qualified Microsoft SDPS partner such as PSC through the use of payment vouchers – in other words, Microsoft will pay the partner for the SDPS service on behalf of the customer.

What’s in it for your organization?

How about up to 15 days of SharePoint planning and implementation services from PSC paid for by Microsoft? Or maybe you can jumpstart that SharePoint project you are currently considering? PSC can help advise you on how to maximize the value of the SDPS service based on your unique situation. If you are considering upgrading to SharePoint 2007, this is a great way to engage an expert to plan the upgrade and define the roadmap. If you already use SharePoint 2007, but would like to assess how other functionality such as workflow, business intelligence, or enterprise content management could be leveraged to create value in your organization, this is a great opportunity to engage PSC to assure the greatest benefit.

What are SharePoint Deployment Planning Services?

The new SharePoint Deployment Planning Service benefit entitles customers with software assurance to engage PSC to deliver a structured SharePoint planning engagement that answer the questions of “if”, “where”, and “how” to deploy SharePoint and maximize its value in the organization.

SDPS helps customers identify a roadmap for transformation and management of their current collaborative and portal strategies. Customers will benefit from understanding the value of an improved business productivity infrastructure based on SharePoint as it relates to the key capabilities of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server.

Depending on your software assurance benefit level, your organization may qualify for a 1, 3, 5, 10, or 15 day packaged offering ranging from strategic planning to deployment of a proof of concept and knowledge transfer for internal IT and end user staff.
